On the nose, expressive aromas of wild hedgerow cherries and ripe blackcurrant are complemented by a delicate hint of warming cinnamon spice. The palate is silky and beautifully poised, with a gentle weight and underlying richness balanced by fresh acidity and fine, supple tannins. Layers of dark fruit carry through to a long, vibrant finish, with a delicate, tingling freshness that keeps the wine lively and inviting.

The 2025 season got off to an excellent start, with a warm, dry spring, little frost pressure and ideal conditions for flowering and fruit set. A long, hot and exceptionally dry summer followed, bringing plenty of sunshine and low disease pressure across the vineyards. Ripening came remarkably early, with harvest beginning around two weeks ahead of a typical year and grapes arriving with excellent concentration, flavour and natural sugars. The dry conditions meant yields were somewhat lower, but the quality of the fruit was exceptional, with bright, balanced acidity, ripe fruit character and plenty of depth.
