The Red Mosaic 2024 is Artelium's contemporary English red blend, bringing together the traditional variety of Pinot Meunier with the PIWI varieties, Divico & Cabaret Noir. The wine reflects both the character of the vintage and the growing potential of modern disease-resistant varieties in English viticulture.

In the glass, the wine shows vibrant aromas of blackberry, black cherry and damson, followed by smoky, savoury notes. The PIWI’s provide, depth of colour and structure, Cabaret Noir contributes freshness and dark fruit intensity, while Pinot Meunier brings brightness, lift and approachability to the blend.

The resulting wine is layered yet approachable, balancing ripe fruit with freshness and fine-grained tannins

  • The 2024 growing season was defined by a wet summer, particularly July and August, bringing with it significant disease pressure and lower yields across the vineyard. Careful vineyard management, selective harvesting and meticulous fruit selection delivered healthy, concentrated fruit, while the resilience of Divico and Cabaret Noir proved particularly valuable throughout the season.

  • This is a wine made for food and conversation. Pour it with roast duck, mushroom wellington or hard English cheeses, where its savoury character comes into its own. It is drinking beautifully now, but will age in the bottle or 3 years or more.
