TASTING NOTES
The aromas are bold and inviting: tropical peach, bruised golden apple and a nutty warmth, with a touch of pastry. On the pallet it is buttery and textural, yet lifted by citrus and florals. Notes of pineapple, honeyed lemon and coconut mingle with a flash of almond before a long, poised finish.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS
This is a wine for slow enjoyment and thoughtful food pairings. It finds a match in dishes such as roast poultry, pork belly or wild mushroom risotto, and has the weight to complement nutty alpine cheeses.
ABOUT THE LABEL
Artist: Rosie Mortimer
Rosie Mortimer, winner of the 2024 Artelium Artefact Prize in collaboration with Sussex Contemporary, creates sculptures which explore absence, space, and the overlooked —reflecting themes of societies unheard voices. For two Artefact wines, Rosie’s designs reference her sculpture created for the estate, Surface, Edge, Shadow—a bisected form of iron and bronze, exploring division and how a simple barrier can grant or deny possibility.
Once this limited-release wine has sold through, the sculpture will remain as an Artefact of this unique wine. Learn more about our Artefact wines.
