Smoked Salmon & Curators Cuvee: a sparkling start to celebrations

Whether adorning canapés at a lively drinks party or accompanying Christmas morning scrambled eggs, our Curators Cuvée 2018 and smoked salmon are a match made in heaven.

The palate is bright and intense with a wicked line of clean acidity keeping it brisk and balanced against the oily richness of the fish. Crips pear and subtle tropical fruit notes allow this Cuvee to build layers of flavour against the salmon’s smokiness.

Oysters & Blanc de Blancs: a true festive indulgence

For seafood lovers who like to celebrate Christmas or New Years Eve with real style, what better combination than sparkling wine and shellfish? Our 2015 Blanc de Blancs, served alongside fresh seafood, was a real hit with our visitors earlier this year.

Winner of the Wine GB 2022 Supreme Champion Trophy, this mesmerising sparkling is made from Chardonnay grown on chalk soils and is packed with vital freshness. Notes of lemon sorbet and delicate orange blossom, alongside a crips and saline finish, make it a stunning match with seafood, particularly Oysters.

The Turkey Trio: a Christmas dinner medley

The traditional Christmas meal is a cacophony of different flavours and textures, from brussel sprout umami to sweet and sharp cranberry sauce. So, for this main event, you aren't just pairing it with the turkey, you've looking for a wine to compliment the whole meal.

Sparkling Rosé

Red, white and sparkling rose wine will all work fantastically. But how about starting with a Sparkling Rosé this year? Our savoury Makers Rosé 2015 is bold yet nuanced with a rich depth of red fruit flavours and notes of baked rhubarb. A perfect match for a slice of turkey breast, or indeed to sip as the food is being served.

Winter White

Next wine could be our decadent and rare Artefact #5. Only 250 bottles of this oaked pinot gris were made. It is rich, yet light with notes of vanilla and spice from the oak balanced against crisp green apple and white peach. A fuller, oily white with flavours to wrap-around glazed carrots and bread sauce.

Bright Red

Finally, our Pinot Noir 2022 is a fruit-forward red with smooth tannins and crushable red berry notes of cranberry and fresh strawberry. The lively freshness of this red means it has no problems cutting across pigs in blankets and roast potatoes. An absolute must-have on the Christmas Dinner table,

Mushroom Wellington & Chardonnay

All out wines are naturally vegan, so if you are serving up a up a nut roast or mushroom wellington our wines are good fit.

Our Chardonnay 2022 is full of bright lemon citrus with hints of juicy, fresh mango and pineapple at the core. The nose is subtle and refined. Alongside the fine-lined fruit, there is a subtle, aromatic note of new-world dried hops.

Collaborators Vermouth & Mince Pies

Fruity and aromatic, our Collaborators Vermouth is a delightful drop to enjoy alongside a lightly spiced mince pie – brandy cream optional! Would go equally well with Christmas pudding.

If you haven't yet stocked up fear not! You can still order online up to midnight on 19th December and from the cellar door until 4pm on Christmas Eve.
