Walking to our East Sussex Vineyard from Plumpton Train Station
With direct trains from London Victoria in under an hour, Artelium is one of the best vineyards in Sussex to reach by train from London and elsewhere.
Train connections to Brighton, Lewes, Haywards Heath and Clapham Junction make us a great destination to travel to by train. Who wants to be the designated driver, after all?
Our closest Train Station is Plumpton, from where we are less than 30 minutes’ walk across the fields. Please do not use Google Maps to navigate as this takes you through private property. Instead, use the walking directions provided below.

WANT TO BOOK A TAXI?
Many visitors who get the train prefer to get a taxi back rather than walk to the train station.
Trains are more regular from Burgess Hill, which is less than 10 minutes away by taxi. You can book with station taxis: 01444 410410
Walking Directions
1. Walk from Plumpton Station to Riddens Lane
Leave the train station to the North and walk up Station Road. into the village of Plumpton Green.
2. Turn left up Riddens Lane
Turn left at the road before the village stores and head up Riddens Lane. The tarmac road will give way to a track.
3. Cross the stile on the left
As the path bends right, take stile to the left. Don’t continue on the lane as this takes you onto private property.
Follow the footpath into the fields. Turn left, following the footpath through the fields, crossing two further stiles until you reach a gate.
4. Walk across the fields
Cross three fields using the stiles in the hedgerows. Look out for the beautiful views across the South Downs,
5. Turn right at the gate
Follow the Bridleway to the second gate.
6. Turn left at the second gate
Walk up Streat Lane
7. Turn right at the road
And walk up the lane until you hit the road.
8. Turn left into Artelium
Follow the parking signs into the Artelium. See you in the Tasting Room!
