Willow Plant Support Workshop - Thursday 27th March

£135.00
Sold Out

Thursday 27th March, 13.30 - 17.30.

Join Matilda Grover for a half day workshop making a striking plant support for your garden, perfect for climbing plants or flowers.

She will be teaching participants how to select willow, prepare the structural stakes and weave in a spiral, creating a sturdy and beautiful Obelisk.

You will learn a variety of basketry processes used in Willow basketry whilst creating your plant support.

Whether you are completely new to basketry, or have made a handful of woven items, this workshop is suitable for you. Weaving is a physical process and reasonable hand strength is required, due to the size of the material used for this workshop good mobility and the ability to work standing and seated is necessary.

This workshop will be followed by a delicious supper and a glass of Artelium wine.

This workshop is part of the ‘Festival of Making’ week, which kicks off with a Spring Makers Market on the 22nd March followed by a week of creative workshops running from the 24th - 28th March.
