Pinot Noir Reserve 2023

£32.00

Elegant and savoury, with cranberry, black cherry and cedar lifted by spice and a long, structured finish.

Pinot Noir Reserve is a wine of poise and quiet confidence, made from Burgundian clone 828 from our Madehurst vineyard. This is Pinot in a savoury, structured mood, a wine that invites you to slow down and take notice.

Fermented in open-top stainless steel before resting in four new 500 L barrels, predominantly French with a quarter American, it has gained texture and complexity while keeping a bright thread of acidity at its core. Layers of cedar, spice and herbal depth sit alongside delicate fruit, giving both elegance and intrigue.

This is a Pinot made for food and conversation. Pour it with roast duck, mushroom wellington or charcuterie, where its savoury character comes into its own. Drink now to appreciate its energy, or cellar for a few years to enjoy its evolution.

100% Pinot Noir

Alcohol: 12% Vol.

  • Little frost damage in April followed by a warm and settled May led to a fantastic fruit set meaning the growing season started off well. A heatwave in Europe led to persistent wet weather across July and into early August. However, the Summer ended as it had started, with one of the warmest September on record. The late burst of sunshine helped the grapes reach terrific levels of ripeness come harvest, meaning high quality and quantity of fruit was achieved across both Artelium sites.
