ABOUT THE LABEL

Artefacts #4 and #5 were released to mark the first major contemporary sculpture to be installed on the Artelium Wine Estate, ‘Futures Past’ by Will Nash.

Nash’s work explores form and structure through geometry, utilising sequences of planes and angles to create works rooted in observations of patterns in nature and physics.

For this label, Nash created multiple grids of simple triangles and curves that are superimposed to create prismatic patterns; orderly sequences decay into chaos and then combine to find a new order. The design was taken from one of the 100 unique screen prints from a body of work titled ‘Century’, which accompanied the installation of the ‘Futures Past’ sculpture.

  • Citrus and pear with delicate summer blossom and hints of Crème Brûlée. Time spent in American Oak lends this wine a line of vanilla and light spice.

  • Oaked Pinot Gris pairs well with a variety of dishes. Its richer and more complex profile makes it suitable for heartier meals. Consider pairing it with dishes such as roasted chicken, creamy pasta, grilled seafood, or dishes with a touch of spice.

Serve slightly chilled to enhance the flavours and decant this wine for 20 - 30 minutes before serving to reveal the full spectrum of aromas.
