East Sussex Vineyard Tours & Tastings
Immerse yourself in the innovative and creative world of modern English wine at our East Sussex estate.
Through a vineyard tour & tasting you’ll discover why the South Downs is one of the world’s most exciting new wine regions. You’ll also learn about the art installations in the vineyard and how creativity informs our winemaking philosophy.
Vineyard tours are available Thursday to Sunday between April and September and on Saturdays and Sundays during winter. Vouchers for Sussex sharing platters for two with guided wine tastings are also available through the shop.
Don’t want a designated driver? Artelium is easy to get to by train, with Plumpton Train station only a 30-minute walk across the fields.
Bespoke private tours are available Tuesday to Sunday, on enquiry.
Artelium Wine Tastings
A knowledgeable member of the team will be on hand to tell you about the Artelium project and guide you through our exceptional still and sparkling English wines. We have different Tasting options available, from three wine discovery flights to more comprehensive five wine explorer sessions.
Tastings can be enjoyed alongside plates and nibbles from the kitchen, including Sussex Charcuterie and Cheese platters.
Both tastings and a table for lunch are best booked in advance.
What’s On
Throughout the year, our Sussex estate plays host to delightful happenings.
Enjoy long evenings on the Terrace with friends & family at Food Events, step into our Tasting Room for a creative workshop or discover exciting Sussex-based contemporary artists at one of our exhibitions.
During the festive period, we also host a popular Makers Christmas Market we bring together some of Sussex’s most talented artisans to share their wares.
Eat
Wine is very much designed to be enjoyed in good company and with good food, whether that’s a selection of local Sussex cheese or a pre-booked feast shared amongst your table.
Our Kitchen is open Thursday-Sunday or other days by appointment.
We also run a regular series of food focused evenings, be that Pizza or Supper Clubs.
BOOK VINEYARD TOURS & TASTINGS
Over one and a half hours at our estate, discover the dynamic world of contemporary English wine with one of our knowledgeable team.
The first half is a tour of our East Sussex vineyard, where you will learn about the history of viticulture in England and how our philosophy is helping shape it’s future. Your host will take you for a wander among the vines, explaining how we carefully nurture the vines. The tour will also take in our art installations in the vineyard.
The second half is a guided wine tasting. You will try three of our award-winning sparkling and still wines. During the tasting, the host will give you insight into our winemaking techniques and what makes our Sussex wines, quintessentially English.
