Art at Artelium
We collaborate with Sussex-based and national artists to present contemporary exhibitions, a growing sculpture garden, and cultural events — all set against the stunning South Downs landscape.

ARTEFACT WINES
The unique, small-batch wines we produce - known as our Artefacts - embody the innovative spirit of the Artelium project, tying together our Winemaking and Arts programme. Each release represents an opportunity for the Winemaker to experiment and be creative.
For each Artefact wine released, an original artwork is commissioned to form part of Artelium’s growing collection. The commissioned work includes the label designs, which mirror the artisanal nature of the wines.
The art that remains on site remains as a memory - an Artefact - of the wine once the limited-release has been sold and enjoyed.

The Artefact Prize
We’re delighted to be giving a Sussex-based artist or maker the chance to design Artefact wine labels, win a commission for up to three related artworks and exhibit at the estate.
We are providing this fantastic opportunity through our new ‘Artefact Prize’ which has been created in collaboration with The Sussex Contemporary.
The 2024 prize was awarded to sculptor Rosie Mortimer.
We’re excited to be working with Rosie on the labels for our next range of Artefact wines, released in 2025.
Skelton Workshops
Artelium hosts the Skelton Workshops who offer art courses in stone sculpture and letter carving, following in the tradition of acclaimed sculptor John Skelton.
