Artelium Bluebell Walk

Experience the breathtaking beauty of bluebells at Artelium!

These vibrant flowers bloom for a short period from April to May, creating a stunning blue carpet in the woodlands surrounding the vineyard.

Don't miss the chance to take a leisurely stroll through our picturesque woodland on one of our popular Vineyard Tours, where you can immerse yourself in the splendor of spring. The bluebells are reminiscent of ancient woodlands, covering large areas in a blanket of blue, adding a touch of magic to your visit.

Follow the below route for a journey through the local woodlands on an unforgettable spring walk and witness nature's exquisite display of bluebells.

Directions:

  • Park at the Artelium car park.

  • Follow the footpath West alongside the paddock, towards the vineyard, turning right towards a wooden gate.

  • Once through the gate turn right at the footpath, alongside the vineyard heading North.

  • You will come across across fork in the path, please take the left-hand turn and a step onto the bridleway, and follow the path through the woodlands. The path continues alongside Gallops Wood across a bridge and then through Blackbrook Wood, towards Middleton Common lane.

  • Take your time, and enjoy the sweet smell of the bluebells and the vibrant violets and blues along your way.

  • When you’ve walked far enough (or start to get thirsty), turn around and head back towards Artelium, following the bridle path eastward and then southward towards the vineyard.

Finish off the walk, with a refreshing glass of wine look at the views of the Sussex Countryside at our beautiful terrace or warm up in our cosy tasting room.

Why not bring your four-legged friend along for the walk, our tasting room and terrace are both dog friendly. Please keep dogs on a lead as there are often sheep in fields surrounding the footpaths.
